SEVEN miles of congestion and 60-minute delays were reported on the M6 near Lymm following a multi-vehicle collision – the second incident on the local motorway network today.
The long delays were on the M6 southbound between J20a (Lymm) and J19 (Tabley Interchange) due to the multi-vehicle collision. Lanes 2 and 3 are currently closed for recovery and clean-up.
Emergency services and traffic officers attended at the scene.
At one point there were 7 miles of congestion on approach to these lane closures causing 60-minute delays above normal travel time.
All lanes have since re-opened.
