WARRINGTON performance materials and chemical maker, Ingevity UK, celebrated World Earth Day by assisting with beautification projects to benefit the vibrancy of the local community.

This year marked the 52nd year of World Earth Day, an annual global day dedicated to protecting planet earth.

Ingevity employees partnered with “Friends of Woolston Park” as part of the company’s philanthropy program that focuses on making a positive impact in the local communiy.

Woolston Park volunteers work in the park year-round to benefit the local community. They shared their appreciation for the support offered by the workers from Ingevity, for helping in the Jubilee Garden with weeding, planting bulbs, laying missing patio stones and varnishing two of the benches. A second group of Ingevity volunteers spent the morning working locally to collect litter around the site, including in the nearby park.

Ingevity is a global specialty chemical company with a site in Lower Walton, Warrington that employs 160 people. Through the IngeviCares philanthropy program, the company donates a portion of revenue and volunteer time to local communities, providing budgets to all manufacturing locations to be used for plant-level funding tailored to each community.
