COVID-19 infection rates are continuing to fall in the Warrington area with 119 new cases confirmed in the latest data and while no further deaths have been reported, hospital admissions have risen slightly.
The 119 (148) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 34,088 (33,969).
Infection rates in Warrington have fallen again for the sixth time in seven days, to 1,189 (1,216) – 567.8 (580.7) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain well above the national average of 485.6 (486.9) per 100,000, which have also fallen slightly.
The number of COVID-19 inpatients at Warrington Hospital has risen from 40-42, while a further eight patients have been discharged.
