COVID-19 infection rates continue to fall as 130 new cases confirmed

COVID-19 infection rates have continued to fall in Warrington with 130 new cases confirmed in the latest data, although they still remain well above the national average which continues to rise.

The 130 (138) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 33,821 (33,691).



Infection rates in Warrington have fallen again for the fourth time in five days, to 1,250 (1,291) – 597 (616.5) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain well above the national average of 482 (476.3) per 100,000, which continue to rise.
