COVID-19 infection rates fall for the third time in four days in Warrington


COVID-19 infection rates have fallen for the third time in four days in the Warrington area, although they still remain well above the national average which continues to rise.

The 138 (203) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 33,691 (33,553).

Infection rates in Warrington have fallen again for the third time in four days, to 1,291 (1,357) – 616.5 (648.1) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain well above the national average of 476.3 (465.4) per 100,000, which continue to rise.
