ONE more COVID-19 death has sadly been reported at Warrington Hospital as infection rates continue to rise with another 142 new cases confirmed in the town.
The 142 (154) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 32,843 (32,701).
Infection rates in Warrington for the last seven days have continued to rise to 1,308 (1,257) – 624.7 (600.3) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period and remain well above the national average of 423 (410.8) per 100,000, which also continues to rise.
The total number of hospital deaths has risen by one to 539, while inpatient numbers have risen from 33-34, while nine patients have been discharged over the weekend.
