Two 15-year-old boys in custody after three robberies at Great Sankey including one at knife-point

TWO 15-year-old boys have been arrested in connection with three robberies at Great Sankey yesterday (Wednesday) including one at knife-point, involving the theft of a bike from a 14-year-old boy.

At approximately 3pm yesterday, Wednesday 6 October, police received reports of three separate robberies on Whittle Avenue in Great Sankey, Warrington.



In one robbery, the offenders, one armed with a knife, stole a bike and a watch from a 14-year-old boy. The second robbery involved a 13-year-old boy being robbed of his mobile phone. The offenders attempted to steal another bike from a 17-year-old boy however the victim refused. The pair then demanded money which they stole.
Officers swiftly attended to the scene and spoke to the victims involved and enquiries led to the identity of the suspects.
All the property stolen has since been recovered and handed back to its owners.
Two 15-year-old boys both from Widnes, were arrested on suspicion of three robberies and are currently in police custody.
