COVID-19 infection rates continue to rise as 144 new cases take total number to over 30,000

A total of 144 new COVID-19 cases have been reported in Warrington in the latest data, with infection rates continuing to rise, taking the total number of confirmed cases in the town to over 30,000 since the start of the pandemic.

The 144 (101) new cases reported by Public Health England, takes the total number of cases in Warrington since the start of the pandemic to 30,021 (29,877).

Infection rates in Warrington for the last seven days have risen again to an average of 732 (678) – 349.6 (323.8) per 100,000 population over a seven-day period but remain below the national average of 358.3 (356.5) per 100,000, which have also risen again slightly again.
Hospital inpatient numbers have increased from 26-28, while seven patients have been discharged in the past 24 hours.
