Fire crews called out after gas cooker left on

TWO fire crews were called out during the early hours of this morning after a gas cooker was left on at a domestic property in Birchwood, Warrington.

Shortly before 3am firefighters from Warrington and Birchwood received reports of a gas alarm sounding at a domestic property in Picton Close, Birchwood.



A gas cooker had been left on. On arrival there was a smell of gas and no-one was unaccounted for.
The gas supply to the property was isolated and two firefighters wearing breathing apparatus inspected the premises.
A gas company and paramedics also attended.
No-one is believed to have been harmed by the incident.
Firefighters left the address once they were satisfied that it was safe from gas.
They were in attendance for around an hour and 20 minutes.
