FIRE crews were again called out this afternoon to tackle more deliberate fires in the open in the Warrington area.
At 16:16 one fire engine attended from Penketh was called following reports of a fire in woodland off Lingley Green Avenue, Great Sankey.
A water backpack was used to extinguish the flames.
Earlier in the day, shortly after 15.00, one fire engine from Lymm attended a fire outside in the Bell Lane area of Thelwall in Warrington.
On arrival, the crew discovered that it was a small bonfire in a wooded area.
Firefighters used water to extinguish the fire and were in attendance for around half-an-hour.
We have attended a number of deliberate fires over the past few days, this is preventing us from potentially attending an incident where someone is in danger! Do you know where your children are? pic.twitter.com/RvrivEVJaT
