POLICE Dog Rufus was out early this morning in the Latchford area of Warrington, helping sniff out a suspected drug dealer.

Supported by his team, the specially trained Springer Spaniel sniffed out a substantial amount of Class A drugs from a property in the Latchford area.
A male was arrested and taken into custody.
Rufus joined the force in December 2015 after being “adopted” by Cheshire Police from a rescue centre.
He then underwent three months of specialist training to help sniff out drugs.

If you suspect drug activity in your neighbourhood you can report it to the police via 101 or by using the online form
