School’s revitalised outdoor reading space

PUPILS at Bruche Primary School in Warrington will have a revitalised outdoor space to enjoy after the lockdown.

Work has now finished on the school’s new Reading Peace Garden which provides a secluded open space for the children to enjoy their books.
The garden makeover was funded by money raised during the school’s 2020 World Book Day Readathon, in which Bruche pupils were sponsored by friends and family for the number of books they could complete in a fortnight.
Executive headteacher Chris Jones said: “This is a great example of the slogan ‘kids who read succeed’ coming to life.
“We hope that the garden will help to promote our children’s love of reading for many years to come and I’m looking forward to the day when all of our pupils will get to enjoy the garden.”
Bruche Primary is one of seven primary schools that make up of Warrington Primary Academy Trust (WPAT), a community of more than 2,100 children aged 2 to 11. WPAT was formed in 2016 and quickly developed a national reputation for excellent standards
