A motorist arrested for drink-driving after embedding his car in a wall at Lymm was one of three motorists arrested by Warrington Police for allegations of driving while unfit through drink or drugs.
A Male driver was arrested overnight in Lymm area for alleged Drink Driving following a road traffic collision when a car ended up embedded in a wall – the driver alleged to have been found in the driver’s seat provided a sample of 67, almost double the legal limit.
The collision involved one vehicle, a white Mercedes, on Birchfield Road in Lymm at around 11pm last night.
A 53-year-old local man was arrested at the scene on suspicion of drink driving and has been bailed to appear in court at a later date.
In another incident, a male arrested for alleged Drink Driving following a road traffic collision in the Burtonwood area was alleged to have provided a sample of 125, more than three times of the legal limit of 35.
Finally, a male was arrested in the Bewsey area for an allegation of driving Whilst Unfit Through Drugs after officers had attended an address for an unrelated incident.
