THE latest figures published by the Office for National Statistics and Care Quality Commission reveal nearly 200 COVID-19 related deaths in Warrington care homes, taking the town’s death toll to an estimated 338 people.
While no further deaths have been reported at Warrington Hospital for a 5th consecutive day, a total of 136 patients have sadly died at Warrington Hospital, along with 197 people in local care homes, two patients at a hospice and three people at home, taking the town’s death toll to at least 338.
While the last confirmed death at the Hospital was last Thursday, at least 10 people have sadly died in local care homes in the past fortnight.
Meanwhile one new case of COVID-19 has been confirmed in Warrington in the last 24 hours according to the latest daily figures from Public Health England.
A total of 1,325 people have now tested positive in the Warrington area which equates to 632.3 per 100,000 population – an increase of one on yesterday’s figures.

To date they had tested 10,143 (9,230) inpatients/community of which 1,182 (1,175) have tested positive.
•The hospital was caring for 4 (6) in-patients who have tested positive for Covid-19
•There were 0 (1) Covid-19 positive patients in ICU
•They had discharged 372 (367) patients and sadly 135 (132) have died
Across the UK the daily number of COVID-19 associated UK deaths was 85, taking the total number of deaths to 45,053.
The daily number of lab-confirmed UK cases was 538 taking the total number to 291,911.
