A CONTROVERSIAL plan for a futuristic house with an underground car storage facility is to come before a meeting of Warrington’s development management committee on April 17.
The application by Duncan Cameron involves land on the former wartime airfield at Stretton.
It has already been the subject of a public exhibition at Appleton last year when local residents and councillors were invited to see the plans and hear about the proposals.
The proposals involve a house with a subterranean car storage facility and what has been described as a “modest” office development above ground.
It is stressed that the scheme has been developed on behalf of a private individual and is solely for private use. There would be a single access via Crowley Lane.
The scheme would include improved ecology habitats, including new species rich grassland, broadleaved woodland and wildlife ponds and perimeter screening around the site.
