Bowling pavilion to get a facelift

PLANNING chiefs have approved proposals to extend and renovate the existing bowling pavilion in Victoria Park, Warrington.
The pavilion is in the south-western corner of the park between two bowling greens and next to the boundary of the park with the Mersey.
It will be extended with a single storey extension on its western side to accommodate the growing number of bowlers who used the greens.
The proposal will not result in any significant loss o green space and will enhance the sport offer in the park, making it more widely attractive to existing and prospective users.
Members of Warrington’s development management committee were told the extension would be built to reflect the scale and design of the existing pavilion.
