A MAN was arrested in Warrington town centre this evening after reports that he had been threatening members of the public.
Police went to Palmyra Square North to arrest the man for alleged threatening behaviour and resisting arrest.
Officers also went to help a young boy they were concerned for after he made off from his carer in the town centre.
But the youngster became violent and threatening towards two officers who were trying to help and was eventually arrested in Dolman’s Lane.
Meanwhile police in Greater Manchester have arrested a man wanted in Warrington for alleged drugs offences and possession of a knife.
Officers from Warrington will be travelling to Manchester to collect him.
