VIDEO: Warrington South MP David Mowat says he is “disappointed” at the time it is taking to start work on a new crossing of the River Mersey.
He says he is also still campaigning for Warrington residents to be given free access over the new Mersey Gateway Bridge linking up with Halton, although admits it has become “complicated,” with other councils becoming involved.
Mr Mowat, who was made Minister for Community Health and Care in the summer, says he is also unaware of any plans to downgrade Warrington Hospital’s Accident and Emergency department.
During an interview with warrington-worldwide Editor Gary Skentelbery Mr Mowat also talks about the impact of Brexit, the election of Donald Trump and closer to home the proposed housing developments at Gappenhall Heys and Appleton.

I think he’s forgotten that since he was elected and made a minister that he is aiding severe budget cuts to our NHS forcing hospital a&e’s into unchartered places they only go under tory governments, further more now he’s about to cut budgets for local independent pharmacies who take a major strain away from already over populated gp practices. And for the amazing Mersey gateway not one bridge in London is tolled he should campaign for this to pay for his constituents to cross. But vote tory get nothing, vote Mowat then you end up with a self serving gravy train tory! Your a disgrace David Mowat! !
