VIDEO: HUNDREDS of bikers turned out in force to provide a guard of honour for a Lymm teenager who tragically died from Motor Neurone Disease.

Jamie Havern’s mother Susie posted an appeal on facebook for bikers to turn out for her 18-year-old son’s funeral yesterday – and they did not disappoint – with hundreds providing a guard of honour from his Lymm home to Altrincham crematorium.

Hundreds of bikers, many of them complete strangers from all over the North West, formed a guard of honour for the former Lymm High School pupil who was obsessed with motor bikes

Some gathered outside the family home on Park Road in Lymm on Friday morning to escort the funeral procession to Altrincham Crematorium, with others joining the procession at the Olde Number Three pub.

Jamie was diagnosed with the wasting disease during childhood and, despite a brave battle, his condition deteriorated. Jamie and his family actively raised awareness about the condition.

A fund-raising page was set up by friends to help cover funeral costs.
