A WARRINGTON employment club has been nominated for this year’s TPAS Awards –England’s most prestigious tenant involvement awards.
The Birchwood Work Club is one of three Your Housing Group projects nominated for an award.
It has been nominated for the Excellence in Employment, Skills and Training Award.
Situated in the heart of the Birchwood Estate, the club offers a weekly drop in session to help support customers who are struggling to find work. The venue has been recently revamped into a welcoming community hub and offers advice on job hunting, training, volunteering and benefits.
Your Housing Group chairman Kathy Cowell said: “It is fantastic to have three of our projects nominated for the Northern region TPAS Awards. A considerable amount of passion, pride and creativity goes into developing community projects like these. I wish everyone involved the best of luck.”
The winners will be announced on April 29 at a ceremony in Manchester.
