Woman led to safety from blaze house

A WOMAN was led to safety by firefighters after a blaze in her home at Warrington.
The fire was at a house in Greenwood Crescent, Orford in the early hours of today and the woman dialled 999 after a smoke alarm alerted her to the blaze.
Fire crews made sure the fire was out and cleared smoke from the property, using a ventilation unit.
The woman was handed over to the care of the ambulance service.
The cause of the outbreak is being investigated.
In a separate incident, fire engines from Warrington and Stockton Heath went to a first floor flat  in Milton Grove, Westy, where there was a fire involving a cooker in the kitchen. No-one was hurt.
