Blazing vehicle on motorway

FIREFIGHTERS from Warrington and Birchwood were called out to deal with a blazing vehicle on the M62 today.
The fire was on the eastbound carriageway, between Junction 11 Birchwood and the Junction 12 Eccles interchange.
Crews used a hose reel jet to tackle the flames on the hard shoulder, using a fire engine to protect firefighters from motorway traffic.
A fault in the engine compartment is believed to have been responsible.
No injuries were reported.
