Free treat for theatre fans

THEATRE fans at Warrington are in for a treat with Creative Remedies performing their free summer production at 1pm on Monday at the Pyramid Centre.
The performance will showcase the acting, writing and musical talents of Warrington residents with mental health needs. It will include two plays written by the group itself and an abridged version of Willy Russell’s “Our Day Out”, as well live music performances.
There will be complimentary refreshments and free car parking (with a permit obtained from the Pyramid Centre reception).
Creative Remedies is aimed at over 18 year olds and provides classes with tutors and equipment free of charge to their performers. It is designed to give them the opportunity to express themselves and gain confidence. Creative Remedies provides other activities, including painting, sculpture, dance, photography and film and much more.
Cllr Pat Wright (pictured), the borough council’s lead member for statutory health and adult social care, will be attending the event. and said: “Creative Remedies is a fantastic,  and  incredibly vital organisation who always put on a great show.
“I know their work can have such a positive impact on the lives of our residents with mental health needs. I am looking forward to attending the show and would encourage people to come along for a great afternoon out.”
