Money saving through bulk buying

0

WARRINGTON Borough Council has launched a scheme to save local people money on their household energy bills through an innovative bulk buying scheme.
The council has teamed up with iChoosr and 50 other councils across the country in a bid to save local residents money on their bills.
Average household energy bills are now running at £1,300 a year but people who join in the “Big Community Switch” scheme could save up to £200 a year by using the combined buying power of thousands of residents to negotiate cheaper prices with energy companies.
Residents can register an interest in switching suppliers for free from today, until to Monday April 8.
There’s no obligation to take up the offer but those that do will benefit from reduced prices from May onwards.
