ENTRIES are now being accepted for a popular nature photography competition where the judges are garden centre customers.
The competition at Bents Garden and Home, Glazebury is perfect for anyone with a passion for photography or an eye for a perfect picture.
Once again, Bents is looking for images of nature which capture the beauty of the surroundings, from gardens and flowers to landscapes and wildlife.
The winning entry, as voted for by customers, will receive £50 worth of Bents’ vouchers and a framed copy of their image.
Managing director Matthew Bent said: “There has been an incredible response to the competition in the last couple of years, with short-listing becoming a very tricky task.
“We’re looking for as many entries as possible covering anything from wide, panoramic landscapes to close up shots showing the intricate beauty of plants and flowers and animal shots which can be both beautiful and sometimes very amusing!”
Closing date for the competition is Thursday February 28 and 20 short-listed entries will be displayed in the Fresh Approach Restaurant at Bents throughout March.
Customers will be able to vote for their favourite image with the winning entry announced in early April.
Entry forms are available from customer services at Bents or entries can be made on line at http://www.bents.co.uk/events-and-attractions/events-diary/photography-competition/

  1. Sounds a great competition and I was very greatful to Julie’s help from Bent’s last year at Culcheth High School with a Young Enterprise project she helped me with for a number of weeks The students set up a company to creating a local Primary School Garden. Whilst I’m posting we have lots of photos in albums on the Warrington Nature Conservation Facebook site on local Wildlife and the good thing is you don’t need to be signed up on Facebook to view them. But if you do please LIKE us 🙂
