Pupils raise cash for dog charity

A GROUP of Warrington pupils put on a presentation during their school assembly to raise awareness of cruelty to animals – and managed to raise more than £55 for the Dogs Trust.
The caring youngsters from Penketh High School put on their presentation to more than 200 fellow pupils as part of their learning for life controlled assessment work.
They were Megan Williams, Talia Bentham, Charlotte McFadden, Kayleigh McFadden, Megan Clements-Paterson and Eleni Foskett.
Their fund-raising activities included “guess how many sweets in a jar”, “guess the name of the teddy” and a cake sale.
Megan Clement-Paterson said: “When the charity came in, they also brought a beautiful little dog with them and we all enjoyed meeting him. They thanked us for the donation and told us more about their charity work and the dogs they care for, which made us feel very proud of what we’d achieved.”
