RAIDERS broke into a musician’s home at Warrington and stole a 50-year-old guitar and other property.
The guitar – said to be of great sentimental value to the owner – is an acoustic Gibson SJ deluxe.
It belongs to blues guitarist Pete Price, who is due to perform at the Pyramid, Warrington this weekend.
Other items stolen from the house in Thelwall New Road included a laptop, mobile phone and two purses.
The burglary took place between 1.30am and 8.30am on Saturday, November 24.
The guitar is dark in colour, with a long brown neck. It was in a brown, hard shell case with a Gibson logo on the front.
Police are currently carrying out a number of enquiries in relation to the burglary, including house-to-house enquiries, CCTV enquiries and relevant forensic enquiries.
DC Nat Lewis said today: “We are appealing to anyone who has any information in relation to the burglary to get in touch. The guitar is of great sentimental value to its owner and we would urge anyone who may be offered it for sale or has any information regarding its whereabouts to come forward.”
Anyone with any information in relation to the incident is urged to call Cheshire Police on 101 or Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.
