VISITORS to a special open event in Warrington were given tips on how to improve their mental health.
Warrington Mental Health Forum held the event in Golden Square shopping centre.
More than 100 people called into the Community Space to chat about what they can do to improve their mental health and wellbeing. There was also the chance for people to talk confidentially to professionals.
Cllr Pat Wright, executive board member for health, wellbeing and adult services for Warrington Borough Council, said: “The day was a huge success and it was great to see so many people of all different ages coming together and speaking out about their experiences.”
Further information and advice is available from Warrington Mental Health Forum on 01925 248472
All donations made on the day will go to Papyrus, a charity dedicated to the prevention of young suicide.

  1. At last a forward thinking idea that made me think about the essays of Francis Bacon 1625 ‘if the mountain will not come to Muhammed then Muhammed must go to the mountain’ or if one’s will does not prevail, one must submit to an alternative. I was pleased to read that Warrington Mental Health Forum actually took their ideas on mental health and well-being to ‘the mountain’ or in this case the Golden Square shopping centre. This was certainly an excellent way of promoting good mental health and more organisations need to take note and do more submitting to alternatives. Well done!
