THE NSPCC has opened a newly refurbished service centre in Warrington.
It offers cutting edge child protection services to vulnerable children and families across the borough and in St Helens and Cheshire East.
The centre, in Peace Drive, was officially opened by NSPCC regional head of service Bernadette Oxley.
Services include a programme involving supporting and protecting looked after children, a programme for children whose parents have drug and alcohol problems and are at high risk of abuse or neglect, a sexual abuse therapeutic programme, and a programme to protect babies and toddlers under the age of one.
Ms Oxley said: “This is a very exciting time for the NSPCC in Warrington. We have a staff team of 24 and now have fantastic refurbished offices which offer a much more comfortable environment for children and their families.
“The NSPCC centre in Warrington has brought together a number of teams, to offer cutting edge services to tackle child abuse throughout the region. Through our new innovative services we will bring help and support to those children most at risk and help turn around the lives of many of the most vulnerable children in our local community.”
