I watched it from Kenyon Lane and it was like a train roaring past, great to see. There were so many police motorcyclist it was like watching the Isle of Man TT. The difference being that they weren’t racing but they were waving to the crowd and sounding their horns and sirens.
The cyclists were past us in the blink of an eye and I wasn’t sure who I spotted. I took some snaps from my blackberry but when I got back and looked at them they were like impressionist paintings. The weather being bad meant that only outlines could be seen. Not to worry at least Gary has some on his site. Still inspired by the Olympics I’d but on my shorts running vest and trainers and run the 4 miles to see them and 4 to get back the furthest I’ve done in one day for many a year.
