REPAIRS work to external lighting at Warrington’s Victoria Park is to start later this month.
The news will delight skateboard enthusiasts who have been unable to use the skatepark during the hours of darkness since the lighting was put out of action by a fire started by vandals last November.
A borough council spokeswoman said: “The repair work should be finished in a couple of months.”

  1. WHY O WHY! should they get free lighting when the rest of the site users (football, rugbt etc) has to pay full whack!!!!! No wonder they loosing staff to pay for it!!

  2. Fred, what would you prefer? Kids using the skate park and keeping safe and out of trouble, or the alternative resulting in people like you moaning because of the ASB going on?
