A COMEDIAN who was at school with Osama Bin Laden makes a visit to Warrington with his laugh out loud show.
Dom Joly, one of the UK’s most innovative comedians, stages his show
“Welcome To Wherever I Am” at the Parr Hall on Wednesday June 29 at 8pm.
For the past 10 years, since his multi-award winning international TV hit, Trigger Happy TV, he has lead the most extraordinary of lives and attempts to make sense of it all with “holiday snaps” during his show.
He talks about the perils of travelling the world drinking, skiing down volcanoes and holidaying in Chernobyl and North Korea.
He also includes tales of trying to fly across the Grand Canyon strapped to an eight foot rocket, being arrested in Switzerland while dressed as a yeti, and discovering that he was at school with Osama Bin Laden.
A spokesperson for the Pyramid and Parr Hall said that some people assumed the connection with Bin Laden may be “tongue in cheek” but confirmed it was true. Apparently when Dom was six and Bin Laden 18 they both attended the same school in the Lebanon.
Tickets for the show, priced £19.50, are available from www.pyramidparrhall.com or 01925 442345.
