Taxi ride that became a nightmare

0

A MAN’S taxi ride at Warrington turned into a nightmare – for him and the cabbie – when he was trapped in the vehicle for 45 minutes.
Fire crews were called to Rylands Drive, off Battersby Lane, when the man got his arm stuck down the site of the rear seat.
He had reached down the side of the seat after dropping a personal possession – and became stuck. The cabbie could not get him out so the fire service was called.
They had to dismantle part of the seat, cutting part of it away, to release the man’s arm.
Eventually the man was released, unhurt save for some minor bruising.
Fire crews were also called to Horrocks Lane, Warrington, last night after a large industrial wheeled bin was found ablaze. Vandals are blamed for starting the fire, the latest in a serious of arson attacks in the area.
Hooligans are believed to have started another fire, involving rubbih on open land at Napier Street, Warrington.
