PRIMARY school test results for 11-year-olds in Warrington have shown further improvement in the core subjects of Maths and English.
Almost 80 per cent of pupils reached at least the expected level (level 4) in combined English and Maths compared to the national average of 74 per cent.
Coun Sheila Woodyatt, (pictured) the borough council’s executive member for education and young people said: “I am delighted with these results which show that Warrington’s primary schools continue to perform excellently and have improved still further on last year’s results.
“The hard work of pupils and teaching staff has produced positive results right across the borough and all subject areas. Congratulations, we are very proud of you all.”
The publication of results at this time is always provisional, pending factors including appeals.
