Teenager attacked in street

POLICE at Warrington are hunting two youths who beat up a teenager in the street for no apparent reason.
The late night attack was in Farrell Street as the 17-year-old boy was walking home.
A small, silver coloured car drove passed and sounded its horn – and then performed a U-turn. Two youths alighted and the car continued on passed the teenager, now driven by a girl with long dark hair. Another girl was in the rear passenger seat.
The two youths, both in their late teens, approached the victim and attacked him without provocation, punching him to the head and knocking him to the ground. They then left the scene.
The victim suffered minor injuries but was badly shaken.
Police say the two attackers were described as being of normal build. One wore a white track suit and the other a dark track suit with a white stripe down the side.
Anyone who witnessed the attack, or who has any information at all, is asked to contact PC Pam Hopkins on 0845 458 6379 on the anonymous Crimestoppers line on 0800 555 111.
