Youngsters' taste of the big time

ELITE youth athletes were given a taste of the professional life by Warrington Wolves.
The Scholarship, a group of elite athletes aged 12 to 16 being prepared for professional Rugby League, enjoyed a full day’s training with the Wolves.
Skills, strength training, nutritional advice, fitness conditioning and media training.
Recent graduates from the Scholarship include Chris Riley, Matty Blythe, Lee Mitchell and Mike Cooper.
Ben Lazenby, player performance manager, said: “The Scholarship at Warrington Wolves is committed to developing players for the future. The Scholarship has recently undergone changes to enhance the delivery and support mechanism, to provide our talented young athletes with the best possible opportunities to become Super League and international players.
“All players benefited from the experience and we will be running similar days for them in the future.”
