Anger over stable block in Green Belt

0

A PLAN to erect a stable block and storage building on Green Belt land has angered nearby residents.
People living in Petersfield Gardens, Richmond Close and Sutton Avenue, Culcheth have lodged objections to the scheme on a nine acre field at the rear of Petersfield Gardens and also by Coun Keith Bland and Coun Sue Bland of Culcheth and Glazebury Parish Council.
They say site access is inadequate, the buildings are too big for the location and there would be noise, smells and vermin – and they also believe the site is poorly drained.
They also believe the scheme is little different to an earlier one rejected by planners in 1994.
Members of Warrington’s development control committee are to visit the site before reaching a decision.
But planning officers are recommending the scheme be approved as they believe the buildings will “nestle” against a group of trees and that additional planting will screen the property.
