Students take a break for third world farmers

STUDENTS from the Warrington campus of the University of Chester have been taking a break to raise money for farmers in the developing world.
Nursing students Rosie Peplow and Clifford Bisacre organised the fundraiser as part of Action Aid’s 24-hour tea and coffee break.
Rosie, 23, said: “ActionAid is an international development charity. When I found out about this fundraising initiative, I thought it would be an excellent idea to involve staff and students from the campus.
“We had a selection of cakes, sandwiches and Fairtrade coffee on offer, plus a raffle. The afternoon was very successful with plenty of interest from both staff and students.
“I would like to say a big thank you to everyone who made the event a great success.”
