ANGRY neighbours have lodged objections to a plan to build a large, detached house on the site of a former bungalow which was demolished without permission.
They say the proposed house in Chelford Close, Stockton Heath will be too large and overbearing and will be out of character with existing homes.
Because it includes rooms in the roof space, it will effectively be a three-storey property, they argue.
They also question the accuracy of measurements in the submitted plans.
But planning officers are recommending Warrington's planning committee should approve the scheme.
They say the fact the bungalow was demolished without consent is not a reason for refusing the new proposal.
The original building had not great aesthetic or historic merit and the new property will be more comparable with neighbouring houses.
As the original bungalow has already been demolished, the application should be treated as being for a new building.
