CULCHETH and Glazebury Parish Council has changed its mind over an offer of free grit and snow shovels from the borough council this winter
Originally, councillors declined the offer - but after hearing a revised "winter resilience" scheme from the borough council, they have agreed to join in the initiative.
Five grit boxes will be placed in the village and will be re-filled by the borough council up to four times during the winter.
The majority of parish council across the borough originally turned down the offer - leading to the revised scheme.
But a number of council are now agreeing to join the scheme.
