Neighbourhood Weekender rocks Warrington

Glorious weather welcomed thousands of festival goers to the town for the Neighbourhood Weekender.

Many thousands of music lovers descended on a sun drenched Victoria Park for the first music festival at the venue for years. They were treated to a fantastic experience with three stages featuring many acts, fairground rides and food stalls, bars and souvenir stands, all adding to the friendly carnival atmosphere.

The main stage saw the Courteeners headlining along with Jake Bugg, Miles Kane, Circa Waves, Reverend and the Makers, The Big Moon, Fickle Friends and was opened by Spring King.
The second stage featured amongst its acts, local band Starsailor , Bundara Karma, Cabbage, Lewis Capaldi, Ten Tonnes and Tom Walker.

In a fitting tribute to another local band the Viola Beach stage featured artists including King Noone, Hey Charlie, Sam Render and The Pale White.

It was a wonderfully successful and professionally organised party in the park which Warrington can be proud of and is ready to go again today with Noel Gallaghers High Flying Birds topping the bill.
