Snow and ice – a Yellow warning for Warrington from Met Office

0

THE Met Office has issued a Yellow Warning for snow and ice in the Warrington area for tomorrow (Saturday) and Sunday.
“Feel like” temperatures as low as minus seven and minus eight are being forecast, although the actual temperatures will be considerably higher.
However, a hard frost can be expected early tomorrow.
An early casualty of the weather is a charity car wash planned for Penketh Fire Station tomorrow.
A Yellow Warning means that severe weather is possible over the next few days and could affect people.
A Met Office spokesman said: “ Yellow means that you should plan ahead thinking about possible travel delays, or the disruption of your day to day activities.” Police have also issued warnings of severe weather.
