Man damaged ambulance as crew treated a patient

A MAN was arrested at Warrington after entering an ambulance and causing damage as paramedics were treating a patient.
The incident was at Latchford and it is alleged that the man tried to get the ambulance crewto attend to a friend who had been involved in an altercation nearby.
The crew tried to explain that they were already dealing with an ill patient, but the man refused to accept this and got into the cab of the ambulance and damaged the gear stick.
Fortunately the crew were able to take their very young patient to hospital – and the offender was arrested.
