Park play equipment devastated by fire

POLICE at Warrington are appealing for help from the public following a fire which devastated children’s play equipment in a park.
The blaze was in Orford Park last night and police believe a group of youths was responsible for starting it.
A police spokesperson said damage caused by the fire meant the play equipment was no longer available for local children and families to use.
Anyone with information about the incident is asked to call police on 101, or the confidential Crimestoppers hotline on 0800 555 111.
The spokesman added: “Do you know where your children were on Sunday night?”
