Man charged after Grappenhall crime spree

A 30-year-old Warrington man has been arrested and charged with burglary and theft offences after being caught acting suspiciously in the Grappenhall area during the early hours of yesterday.

Martyn Galley, aged 30 from the Bewsey & Whitecross area of town, who was caught by police in the area, has been charged with a residential burglary at Tresham Drive, theft from vehicle at Parrs Wood View and theft from vehicle at Middlehurst Road.

He has been remanded in custody.

A second male, aged 34, who made good his escape at the time has been arrested today (Wednesday) on suspicion of committing the same offences. He is currently in police custody.
