Are Walton Hall and Gardens the UK’s best park?

WARRINGTON’S Walton Hall and Gardens has been nominated in a competition to find the UK’s best park.
The borough council-owned park is in the running for the UKs Best Park vote run by Fields In Trust.
Cllr Tony Higgins, the council’s lead member for leisure and community, said: “It’s great that Walton Hall and Gardens has been nominated for this award and I hope that everyone in the borough gets behind the jewel in the crown of Warrington’s parks.”
The hall and gardens was nominated by Sally Slater from Northwich who used to live near the park.
She said: “There is something for all the family here and all set in the most beautiful and relaxing park. It’s truly amazing.”
