Knife man arrested in supermarket

A MAN was arrested in a Warrington supermarket today after allegedly being found in possession ot two knives.
The incident was at Asda, in the Cockhedge Centre and police were called to the scene after the man verbally abused staff after being refused alcohol.
When spoken to he was found to be in possession of a pair of knives and was arrested for being in possession of an offensive weapon.
In another incident, a man was arrested on an allegation of going equipped for theft after he was found in the cycle sheds at Birchwood railway station in possession of a hacksaw.
He was also wanted on a recall to prison.
