Motorist fails drugs test after collision with young cyclist

A MOTORIST has been arrested on suspicion of driving unfit through drugs after a young cyclist was injured in a collision on Manchester Road, Padgate, Warrington, this morning.

The 36-year-old male from Orford was arrested for alleged Driving Whilst Unfit Through Drugs after failing a roadside drugs swipe and is now in custody

Emergency services attended at the scene of the collision between a car and a young pedal cyclist on Manchester Road at 8.35am.

Paramedics attended to the cyclist at the scene at the junction with Kingsway North and King Edward Street.
