THE elections team at Warrington Borough Council will be working the late shift on Monday – to support local people with registering to vote in the General Election.

Voting registration officially closes at 11.59pm on Monday and elections staff will be working right up until the deadline, on the council’s elections helpline. It means that any resident with any questions or issues about registering can call 01925 442184, to get all the help and advice they need.

Residents can register to vote at gov.uk/register-to-vote and, if unsure, can check if they are already registered, by e-mailing the elections team at [email protected]
Anyone who has not now received their poll card should check that they are registered to vote as soon as possible.

Time is also running out to apply for a postal vote, which you will need if you are not available to vote in person on June 8.  The deadline applying for a postal vote, is Tuesday May 23 at 5pm.

Complete the postal vote application form at yourvotematters.co.uk/how-do-i-vote/voting-by-post

You can also contact electoral services at [email protected] or call the elections helpline on 01925 442184 to be sent a postal vote application form.

Anyone applying for a postal vote now will not receive it until around  May 30.
