.MEMBERS of Warrington-based Centenary Theatre Company are putting the finishing touches to their next show – the hit musical “Guys and Dolls.”
The curtain goes up at the Brindley Theatre, Runcorn, on Tuesday May 16 for five nights.
The classic musical tells a sizzling story of gangsters, gamblers and nightclub singers in New York City.
It’s been an international showstopper since it debuted on Broadway in 1951 and includes much-loved songs such as “Luck be a lady tonight”, “Sit down, you’re rocking the boat”, “My Time of day” and many more.
Centenary Theatre has a reputation for delivering high quality productions and this will be its third adaptation of “Guys and Dolls”, after performing it in 1992 and 2006 respectively.
This coming year looks to be another successful one for the company, with upcoming productions “The Ladykillers” and “White Christmas”, along with involvement with local events and concerts.
“Guys and Dolls” is an entertaining and stylish musical with a huge and talented cast.
A Centenary spokesman said: “The commitment from our cast is nothing short of impressive and their performances match the calibre and professionalism this popular musical deserves.”
